Mini Med Program
Ever wanted to go to Medical school or just see what the latest information in medicine is? The University of Colorado in Denver Medical School’s annual “Mini Med” class is coming in September. 16, 23, 30, October 7, 14, 21, 28 and November 4. Classes will be in the evenings (times to be announced). The classes are free and each student gets a free text book. Each evening’s program is given via Interactive TV by CU Medical School Professors. Topics to be announced. Watch this website for updates!
Epilepsy Outreach Program
WCAHEC is working in conjunction with the Colorado Epilepsy Foundation to provide Information, support and training on the topic of Epilepsy. Any group or organization may arrange for training free of charge. The two training's available are “Epilepsy First Aid” and the second is “It Could Be Epilepsy” – for law enforcement officers and support personnel. Advocacy Program
"Sick Around the World" lesson for high school students. WCAHEC Education Coordinator, Natasha Schumann, will come into your Social Studies. Government or Language Arts class and facilitate a lesson utilizing the Frontline episode, "Sick Around the World" The lesson looks at the complex issue of health reform.
